Great recreational area, lots of places to camp. I didn't see any organized camp grounds but people were camped wherever there was a spot. No water and this time of year no fires. There's a rogue disc golf course we played that was very fun and well laid out. You definitely need someone who knows the course for a guide.

So gorgeous! The days are nice and warm but the nights get to about 30 degrees. When we left Friday snow was starting to fall so come prepared for the elevation gain and the passes.

The reason they call it the Trinity Alps wilderness. Extremely rugged country and so beautiful. Wonderful day hikes and Backpackers. A real gem of Northern with so much to explore it is a good place to get out of Redding, CA and into the woods.

Mount Shasta is a beautiful mountain to hike on, but unfortunately, there are a lack of developed trails on the mountain. For such a major and popular mountain, one would expect to have trails all over the north, east, and northwest sides. An around the mountain trail would be glorious if it could be built.

Beautiful national forest, numerous great hikes.

Busy big place, not to crowded because it is huge. Many significant sights, wonderful hikes. Caves are worth a visit. Many side roads to explore. Worth your time any season.
